The official 2025 Army Fitness Test performance thresholds — minimum passing requirements and maximum scores per event for all age groups and gender categories.
Minimum Passing Standards
Every soldier must score a minimum of 60 points per event. Total minimum scores differ by MOS category.

AFT Implementation Timeline
June 1, 2025
AFT officially launches
The Army Fitness Test (AFT) officially replaces the ACFT for all Active Duty soldiers.
January 1, 2026
Active Duty enforcement begins
Active Duty performance standards are fully enforced across all Army units.
June 1, 2026
Reserve & National Guard
Reserve Component and National Guard standards are fully in effect.
Key Changes from ACFT to AFT
Events reduced from 6 to 5
The Standing Power Throw (SPT) was removed due to its technical nature and associated injury risk.
Max score changed from 600 to 500
With five events at 100 points each, the new maximum total is 500 points.
Combat MOS minimum raised to 350
Soldiers in 21 designated combat roles now need 350 (previously 300) to pass.
Gender-neutral combat standards
Female soldiers in 21 combat MOS must meet the same physical standards as their male counterparts.
